Industrial facilities for plastic product manufacturers

Modern halls for the plastics industry - turnkey design and construction

We create production halls for the plastics industry that combine functionality, modern technologies, and perfect fit for the investor’s processes. We build turnkey facilities – from design to commissioning – for the production of bottles, bags, and caps, as well as recycling and PVC granulate production plants. We design each facility individually, adapting it to the requirements of processes such as thermoforming, injection molding, and extrusion. We ensure effective ventilation, microclimate control, and occupational safety, ensuring optimal material flow throughout the facility. We use durable, chemical-resistant flooring and energy-efficient solutions.

Thanks to our comprehensive approach and many years of experience in the construction of industrial facilities, we provide our clients with halls that perfectly meet the requirements of production processes and the specifics of the plastics industry.

Foil production hall with technological tower. Case study.

For Foliarex, we have completed a turnkey production hall, the heart of which is a 20-meter high technological tower.m – a key element of the blown film production line. The tower enables vertical rewinding of the film, ensuring uniform cooling and stabilization of the material, guaranteeing the highest quality of finished products.

The hall was designed with demanding processes in mind – high temperatures, fume emissions, and intensive machine use. Functional production zones, raw materials and finished goods warehouses, and office and staff areas ensure efficient material flow and comfortable work.

Thanks to durable floors, modern ventilation with heat recovery and energy-saving solutions, the Foliarex hall is not only fully functional but also an example of an innovative and efficient approach to building facilities for the plastics industry.

Requirements for production and storage halls in the plastics industry

Ventilation and Air Quality

In plastics production halls, ensuring effective mechanical ventilation, supported by point-based exhaust systems at the extruders, is crucial. The extrusion process generates volatile organic compounds and vapors, the concentration of which must remain within safe limits. At the same time, air conditioning and ventilation systems remove excess heat generated by the machines, maintaining temperatures within acceptable limits (up to 28°C in summer), ensuring comfort, safety, and stable working conditions.

Fire safety (PFS)

Fire safety requirements in plastics processing plants are very stringent because raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products are flammable and have a high fire load density. The hall structure must have an appropriate fire resistance class, and the building design must precisely consider the specifics of the stored materials. Advanced fire detection and alarm systems (FFS), adequate fire suppression systems, including sprinklers, and easily accessible and well-marked evacuation routes are essential to ensure quick and safe exit from the facility.

Storage conditions

Warehouses for storing plastics are often designed with a minimum of windows and skylights to limit the impact of light and UV radiation on the materials. Furthermore, it's crucial to control air humidity (below 60%) using dehumidification systems and monitoring its level, and to maintain a stable temperature above +10°C using heating, air conditioning, and thermal insulation systems.
